We are performing in Poland and are looking for musicians to accompany the group. Here's a recent performance (although you can tell the band starts faster than we can dance!! :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB0BAbDzmAI And another fun one, though no tap shoes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn6gDOPtgts) Join us for *Poland's Wlodawa International Polish Folklore Festival, July 12-18. *This will be an exciting week of performing and sharing our Appalachian traditions AND learning the traditions of other groups from around the world -- we are one of 9 teams at the festival year. There will be parades, some local travel to perform at different towns in the region, crafts, * *Emily and I (Lee) aren't able to be part of the group this year, unfortunately - so *We need to find musicians! * We do have a banjo player -- we are interested in (1) fiddle or mandolin player (2) guitar or bass The cloggers are a group of fun, welcoming people, easy to get along with. The festival provides free room and board for the entire week! The cloggers will pay for your travel -- gas for car travel, train, but for plane they may only be able to pay a portion, depending on the price. Any one interested, can email Lee and he will forward to the team ====== Americka Cloggingova Skupina hleda muzikanti - oni maji kreft na Mezinarodni Folkovy [Folklorni?] Festival v Wlodawa, Polsko. Je to drahy cestovat do Polsku od USA, a rekl jsem ze jsou zkvele bluegrassove v CR, tak.... Je to tyden 12-18 Cervence. Bude asi kazdy den predstaveni, aspon jedno. Delal jsem to loni se skupinou v Portugalsku, a je to proste skusenost zajimava - kazdy den neco jinyho, novyho. Vidite hudebni a tancovni tradice z celeho sveta, jamovani je slusne mezinarodni, atd. A ta skupina je velmi dobra, dobri lidi, a silne tradicni tance. (viz ty linky na hore - pekny videa) Oni uz maji banjistu (old-time/frailing/clawhammer), tak hledaji houslista nebo silny mandolinista (nejak melodicky nastroj) a pak kytarista a mozny taky basista. Penize - mozne par stovek dolaru kazdemu, a mozne nad tim cestak/benzin. Nevim presne. Tam na festival je ubytovani a jidlo k dispozice.
